On June 22, 1944, the Red Army launched Operation Bagration with an apocalyptic artillery bombardment. Almost two months later, the German Army Group Center was functionally destroyed. Crucial Nazi forces would be diverted to stem the tide, allowing the Red Army to overwhelm the now-depleted sectors. It would open the path deeper into the heart of the Third Reich and Berlin would fall within the year. That’s what you’ll be doing in Unity of Command II: Berlin DLC.

Unity of Command 2: Kursk DLC | Review in 7 Screenshots
The years, they don’t stop coming – and neither do Unity of Command 2 DLCs. At about 176 hours in, I was graced with the Kursk DLC. This baby is huge, featuring campaigns for both Nazis and Soviets in 1943 (and maybe even 1944), And you know what? Unity of Command 2: Kursk DLC is the best one yet.

Unity of Command 2 will feed us DLCs until they run out of World War 2 to cover. Hopefully, that will lead to either Unity of Command 3 or a fun off-shoot that gives us World War 3. Until that point, we have to sate our hungers with Don 42 DLC, which is but the latest in the game’s history.

Unity of Command 2: Moscow 41 DLC review | Beat back the fascists!
Up until this point, the DLCs for Unity of Command 2 focused on the German victories in early World War 2. They did quite a good job of portraying them as the real fights they were, and not just cakewalks as popularly imagined. Barbarossa was particularly good about showing how spread out and worn down the German forces became when faced with Soviet resistance and vast distances they needed to cover. Unity of Command 2: Moscow 41 DLC actually puts you in command of the Soviet forces that will stretch that attack to the breaking point – and then break it.

Unity of Command 2: Blitzkrieg DLC | Review in 7 Screenshots
Everyone’s a World War 2 fan until it’s time to actually play the campaigns that gave “Blitzkrieg” its name. Without the ability to fawn over Rommel or wank over wunderwaffles like the Panther and Tiger, the enthusiasm of many a WW2 gamer shrivels. But the team behind Unity of Command 2 isn’t made of lilly-livered, yellow-bellied cowards. That’s why they made (and generously furnished me with) Unity of Command 2: Blitzkrieg DLC.
